Our History
Arrowhead advertising was founded in the late 1980s by retired School of Communication faculty member Barry Solomon. By the mid-’90s Solomon established a for-credit course for the competition team. A dedicated lab space followed when the College of Communication and Information moved to the stadium. Students branded the team, Arrowhead Advertising. A name that lives on and serves as a source of inspiration to students today.
In 2019, Dr. Jaejin Lee assumed management of the class, leading students on the Adobe campaign in the 2019-2020 acaedmic year. In fall 2020, Dr. Kelly Kelly joined FSU and has managed the class and served as faculty advisor to FSU's Ad Club, the official collegiate chapter of the Amercican Advertising Federation, since.
